The Epilepsy Foundation of Mississippi’s office will be closed in observance of Thanksgiving Day. We will also be closed the day after Thanksgiving so the staff can enjoy some time with their families.

PROJECT CARE is designed to improve care coordination, increase social support, provide education and increase engagement for teens with epilepsy and their families. It is funded by the Health Resources Services Administration.

November is National Epilepsy Awareness month. What better way to raise awareness than NOT SHAVING! No Shave November will start October 20, 2014 and it will run through November 20, 2014. Please join us in one of the “Hairiest” times of the year and show your support for the 60,000 Mississippians living with epilepsy and seizure disorders. Judging will take place at Sal & Mookies in Jackson, Ms. But don’t worry…..there will also be online judging so post your pictures weekly!!! Please make a $5.00 donation to the Epilepsy Foundation and sign up below. Everyone participating will receive the official “NO SHAVE NOVEMBER” button!

Zumba starts at 8:00a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
All age groups are welcomed!
Raquel of “Zumba Lovers Mississippi” and “Zumba with Joey & Meagan” will be on hand to get us all moving! Admission is $5.00, and all proceeds will go to support the work of the Epilepsy Foundation of Mississippi.

The Alvin P. Flannes summer camp is a summer camp for provided free of charge for Mississippi children ages 8-16 living with epilepsy. This camp allows the children to have a great summer camp experience. Camp activities include canoeing, paddle boats, swimming, crafts, and horse back riding. Nursing staff stays on site 24/7. This year’s camp will be May 27 – 31, 2014 at Camp Wesley Pines in Gallman, MS.
