Kids Speak Up!

Kids Speak Up! Campaign 2010 will be March 23-25.  National has chosen Ms. Alicia Smith of Brandon to represent Mississippi and our children living with epilepsy.  Epilepsy Foundation of Mississippi staff will accompany Ms. Alicia Smith and her mother to the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.  During this visit with her Senators and Representatives she will have the opportunity to discuss the importance of funding, research and education on behalf of the other 3 million Americans, 350,000 of them children, including 50,000 Mississippians who have epilepsy. Kids Speak Up! Brings young people like Alicia with epilepsy between the ages of 7 and 16 to personally petition congressional leaders for aid in assuring better access to care, improved public education and greater research toward a cure for everyone with epilepsy.
