Staff

Our foundation has a diverse staff dedicated to helping our fellow Mississippians with epilepsy in order to help them obtain a better quality of life.

Tres Robertson – Executive Director
tresmsepilepsy@bellsouth.net
Mrs. Tres Townsend has been named as the new Executive Director of the Epilepsy Foundation of Mississippi.  Mrs. Townsend came to the Epilepsy Foundation in February 2008.  She has a B.S. in Business Management from Belhaven University.  She brings over 14 years of experience in working for non-profit organizations.  She is a long time native of Rankin County and has one son and a wonderful husband that has also been touched by epilepsy.  Her and her family are dedicated to helping raise awareness and money for all Mississippians with epilepsy.  It is her goal to help the people of Mississippi learn about epilepsy and seizure disorders and to help stop the silence and negative stigma associated with this Neurological disorder.

Leann Wann – Accounting Manager
leannmsepilepsy@bellsouth.net
Leann has worked part-time for the foundation for over 10 years.  Leann has a BSBA degree in Accounting from Mississippi College.  She has three children and lives in Flowood, MS.  Leann has a family member with epilepsy so she knows the trials and tribulations people go through.

Sweyn Simrall – Public Relations
Sweynmsepilepsy@bellsouth.net
Sweyn just recently joined the staff  here at The Epilepsy Foundation and is very excited. Two of her family members have Epilepsy so she has a personal interest as well as a business interest to help the foundation grow,  educate and help our community in many ways.

Sweyn has been married to Newell Simrall IV for over 25 years and they have two children, Mckay and Newell. They have lived in Jackson for 23 years. Sweyn has been involved with The Junior of Jackson for 15 years and many other organizations in our community. Her hope is to let as many people know about Epilepsy as possible.  She believes that through  education, information and being involved in the public that we will be able to obtain this goal in 2012.
